Berberis thunbergii 'Flamingo' is a novelty from the Netherlands which convinces with a play of an intense pink and white. The colours of the young shoots come close to the color of a Flamingo. Maturing leaves change to soft red. 'Flamingo' is perfect as a solitary plant as well as for large-scale planting. It distinguishes itself from 'Harlequin' by the much more intense pink when growing. The broad and upright growing variety is easy in propagation and production.
