Berberis thunbergii 'Desperados' (pbr) is part of the Berberis Neon series. This series is easy to recognise due to the spectaculair bright color-changing foliage.
Berberis thunbergii 'Desperados' (pbr) has a broad habit. The new shoots in spring are dark orange colored. In summer the new shoots change color into red. The older foliage changes the color to green. This gives a beautiful contrast in summer.
