Acer truncatum 'Volcano' is a new seed selection from Poland. In spring, the plant has beautiful dark pink volcano like shoots. The shoots give a nice contrast to the yellow-red foliage. In summer the young shoots slowly turn yellow. In autumn the plant changes color again from yellow to red. The leaf veins stay yellow in this transformation and give the plant a beautiful warm effect. 'Volcano' is hardy and perfectly suitable as a solitary plant in the garden.
