Neil Diamond once sang: "Cracklin' Rosie, make me a smile," and the Enkianthus campanulatus Cracklin' Rosie (PBR) certainly does.
The plant blooms abundantly in early spring with salmon-colored, bell-shaped flowers. Cracklin' Rosie easily forms new flower buds, even when the plant is still young. The plant is highly frost-resistant and turns completely dark red in autumn. The shrub reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 meters and has no problems with diseases and pests.
